Gary Black is a full time resident of Elkhorn moving here in 1995 where he lives with his wife, Heather, one of three daughters, Alexandra, two Labradors, a scruffy but nice feline and occasionally 40 elk.  He is currently chairman of the Abell Foundation (www.abell.org) and managing partner of Ski Racing International, a snow sports publishing company. In addition he is currently a member of the U. S. Ski Team Foundation board, the International Ski Federation’s (FIS) World Cup Committee and the FIS Media Committee. Locally, he is the immediate past president of the Sun Valley Ski Education Foundation. He has been involved with several publishing companies, including the formerly family owned Baltimore Sun and numerous boards, both corporate and philanthropic.
