Elkhorn Owners:

Notice of May 13, 2009 Meeting

deNovo Properties, a development group with offices in Indianapolis, has informed the SVEA Board of their plans to clean up the old mining sites located up Independence Creek, between Elkhorn and Triumph in East Fork (in Blaine County), and then develop the property into several estate-sized lots.  They have approached the City of Sun Valley with a request for an amendment to the City’s Comprehensive Plan; the first step in pursuing annexation into the City.  The Planning & Zoning Commission recently heard the application and voted to recommend to the City Council that the request be denied. The Council will be considering the issue at a future date. Should efforts to be annexed into Sun Valley fail, the group will apply for development approvals through Blaine County.

At this time deNovo has received the required approvals for cleanup of the old mine sites and will be holding an informal pre-construction meeting at the end of Independence Creek Road in Elkhorn on Wednesday, May 13th, at 5:00 p.m.

Your Board and staff will continue to monitor this project and keep you informed by posting information on the SVEA website:  www.elkhorn-assoc.org
